Young Tall Poppy winner 2009 - Dr Elaine Wong

Elaine WongElaine Wong’s childhood curiosity about how things work led her to a career that has already generated multiple publications and awards, research grants and fellowships.

Her gift for communicating with young people and infectious enthusiasm for engineering has made her a sought-after speaker at schools and public events. She is passionate about making engineering understandable to the community and explaining to potential students the broad career scope available through the sheer diversity within the discipline.

Robogals Robogals break World Record

Robogals, led by Mechatronics student Marita Cheng, broke the World Record for robot dancing, on campus yesterday. The event helped raise awareness of the Robogals. More information, Robogals website
