Tommy Li

Master of Information Technology student Tommy Li was accepted into Accenture’s graduate program after completing his undergraduate degree. He moved from this consulting role to a more technical one at Red Energy and decided he needed to upgrade his skills by embarking on a part-time MIT. Tommy has found the course highly applicable to his work life and has recently applied his newly-acquired web architecture skills to a website project at Red Energy.

I definitely recommend undertaking study while working. Being able to learn other ways of solving the same problem is great. I think it is especially important in IT, where 5–10 years is like a generation! I don't believe it can continue to be how it was in my parents’ era; where you can finish your certification and then sit in a job until you retire. I don't see the fun in that.
