Biodegradable and drug-eluting coronary artery stents

Project description

Coronary artery stents are a life saving technology. However, current stents are non-degradable. Next generation stents are being fabricated so that they degrade in the body once the blood vessel has healed. This project aims to develop new biodegradable stents that possess improved imaging capacity and drug-elution properties.
