MSE E-NEWS FOR ALUMNI AND FRIENDS
NOVEMBER 2011

FROM THE DEAN

Iven Mareels

Welcome to the final edition of The Melbourne Engineer for 2011. This month we introduce our newest department, the Department of Computing and Information Systems, soon to be the University's hub for leading IT research and study. We profile some of the groundbreaking broadband research that is taking place at the University through the Institute for a Broadband-Enabled Society. We also look back at one of the highlights of our 150th year of engineering education at Melbourne - our recent 150th Gala Dinner.

The Melbourne School of Engineering wishes you all the best for the holiday season and we hope you enjoy our latest update.
