What is Mentoring?Mentoring provides guidance and support in a mutually beneficial partnership. It does so by connecting a more experienced person (the mentor) with a less experienced person (the mentee). The Career Mentoring Program for later year students about to the make the transition from university into the workforce. About the Career Mentoring ProgramAs a later year student (penultimate or final year) you can apply to be matched with either a postgraduate student or career mentor who is a professional engineer. Your mentor will assist you to manage your transition into the workplace and facilitate your professional networking skills. The program runs from April to November. Both mentors and students will receive a copy of the Mentoring Guidelines Booklet, prepared specifically for the program, to assist with the development of the mentoring relationship.
