Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ)

The Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) seeks new graduates' views on various aspects of the course just completed.

It is sent together with the Graduate Destination Survey to all graduates four months following completion of a course of study.

All Australian higher education institutions administer the survey to their own graduates in accordance with a common standard methodology and coding protocol co-ordinated by the Graduate Careers Council of Australia.

The CEQ is a 31-item questionnaire, eliciting responses on a 5-point rating from Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree. CEQ data are normally reduced to scales or factors for reporting purposes. The University has chosen to report on the following scales:

  • Good teaching (GTS)
  • Clear goals and standards (CGS)
  • Generic Skills (GSS)
  • Intellectual motivation (IMS)
  • Learning community (LCS)
  • Learning resources (LRS)
