WELCOME & ORIENTATION!

What’s next?

Welcome to the Melbourne School of Engineering! We are pleased that you have chosen to study with us, and we invite you to become an active participant in our diverse and dynamic engineering and IT community.

We are the oldest engineering school in Australia and, I am happy to say, we are widely acknowledged as Australia’s best. Last year we celebrated our 150th anniversary, taking the opportunity to look back through our history and, more importantly, look forward to what we can achieve in the next 150 years. As part of the professional community you will help shape the future of our society, our prosperity and even our planet. We look forward to sharing our knowledge and values to help you make a valuable contribution and achieve life-long success.

Your studies will be rigorous and challenging, but ultimately rewarding, and throughout we will support you in many ways. We offer services to help you succeed in your study, prepare for your career, make connections with your fellow students, and maintain your health and well-being. The friendly team in the Engineering Student Services Centre is your first point of contact to access these services, and I encourage you to attend the School of Engineering Orientation program to find out more.
