University of Melbourne Extension Program

The University of Melbourne Extension Program (formally MUPHAS) is an extension studies program for academically gifted final-year secondary students both Australia and International.

If you're a high-achieving student this program can provide an intellectual challenge, an insight into uni life, a chance for an ENTER bonus and the opportunity to become part of a community of high-achieving scholars.

To be selected for the program you need to be an A/A++ student in most subjects and particularly excel in subject chosen for extension. Your Extension Studies subject will count as your sixth VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) subject, so you need to be doing at least five VCE subjects for your Extension Study to contribute towards your ENTER.

Depending on your performance in the subject, a corresponding increment will be added to your ENTER aggregate which may help you get into the degree of your choice.

If, after year 12, you enrol at the University of Melbourne, you can obtain credit for your Extension Study if the particular subject can be studied as part of your degree.
