Entry standards – Prerequisite subjects

  VCE OR AUSTRALIAN YEAR 12 EQUIVALENT1 IB DIPLOMA2 TRINITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION STUDIES GCE CAMBRIDGE A LEVELS3
Bachelor of Biomedicine  A study score of at least 25 in English/English language/literature or at least 30 in ESl, at least 35 in Chemistry, and at least 25 in one of Mathematical Methods (either), Specialist Mathematics, Biology or Physics.  English, Chemistry and one of Mathematics, Biology or Physics. Chemistry must be passed to at least Grade 6 at Standard level or at least Grade 5 at higher level. All other prerequisites must be passed at least Grade 5 at Standard level at to at least Grade 4 at higher level.  EAp (a score of at least 50%), English and Chemistry (a score of at least 85%) and one of Mathematics 1A or 1B, Biology, Mathematics 2 or physics.  An A in Chemistry and at least one of Mathematics, Biology or Physics and at least grade C in an accepted AS level English subject. 
Bachelor of Commerce  A study score of at least 25 in English/English language/ literature or at least 30 in ESl, and at least 25 in Mathematical Methods (either).  English and Standard Mathematics. prerequisite IB subjects require achievement of at least Grade 5 at Standard level or Grade 4 at higher level.  EAp (a score of 50%), English, Mathematics 1A or 1B and history of Ideas (Advanced). prerequisites must be included in the ‘best 4’ calculation. For specialisation in Actuarial or engineering studies Mathematics 2 is also required.  Mathematics and at least Grade C in an accepted AS level English subject. 
Bachelor of Engineering  A study score of at least 25 in English/English language/ literature or at least 30 in ESl, and at least 32 in Mathematical Methods (either).  English and Standard Mathematics. Mathematics must be passed to at least Grade 6 at Standard level or at least Grade 5 at higher level. English requires achievement of at least Grade 5 at Standard level or Grade 4 at higher level.  EAP (a score of at least 50%), English and one of Mathematics 1A or 1B (a score of 80%). prerequisite must be included in the ‘best 4’ calculation.  Mathematics (at least grade B) and at least grade C in an accepted AS level English subject. 
Bachelor of Environments  A study score of at least 25  in English/English language/ literature or at least 30 in ESl. Note: For students interested in majoring in property, Construction, Environmental Science, Geomatics, Civil Systems or Physical (Environmental Engineering) Systems a mathematics background equivalent to vCE Mathematics Methods Units 3 and 4 is recommended. Students without this background may need to take a bridging subject in mathematics as first year breadth.  English. Note: For students intending to major in property, Construction, Environmental Science, Geomatics, Civil Systems or physical (Environmental Engineering) Systems, a mathematics background equivalent to Mathematics Standard level is recommended. Students without this background may need to take a bridging subject in Mathematics as first year breadth.  EAP (a score of at least 50%) and English. Note: For students intending to major in property, Construction, Environmental Science, Geomatics, Civil Systems or Physical (Environmental Engineering) Systems, a Mathematics background equivalent to Mathematics Standard level is recommended. Bachelor of Science  A study score of at least 25 in English/English language/literature or at least 30 in ESl, and at least 25 in Mathematical Methods (either), and in one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics.  English, Standard Mathematics and one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics.  EAp (a score of at least 50%), English and either one of Mathematics 1A or 1B, and one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics.  Mathematics and one of Biology, Chemistry, physics, and at least grade C in an accepted AS level English subject.
