Community Access Program (CAP)

The Community Access Program (CAP) opens up study opportunities so that everyone has a chance to experience the benefits of expert tuition at the University of Melbourne. CAP provides an excellent opportunity if you:

  • have always had the desire to learn something new
  • have wanted to study but have had to postpone it for one reason or another
  • want to advance your career
  • are a student at the University of Melbourne or another tertiary institution and you wish to pursue an interest outside your current academic program
  • want to enhance your academic record
  • want to explore a potential area of study before making a commitment to more intensive study.

The Melbourne School of Engineering continues to foster and develop engineering creativity through design and innovation and by strengthening its industrial links and community interaction. The strong and vibrant research activity within the departments and research centres associated with the School ensures that your teaching is kept at the forefront of knowledge.

Subject areas of possible study include: chemical engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, geomatics, engineering management.
