Indian Institute of Technology Internship Program (May - July 2008)
The Melbourne School of Engineering is pleased to announce an internship program for current undergraduate students of the Indian Institutes of Technology. Successful applicants will be fully supported financially (including travel to Melbourne, accommodation and living expenses in Melbourne) for the period of the internship. Internships will be available across all disciplines at the Melbourne School of Engineering – Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science and Software Engineering, Biomedical, Mechanical, Chemical and Civil. Visa Information Participants will be eligible to enter Australia under the Business (Short stay) visa (456). Successful applicants will be directed to their nearest Australian diplomatic mission for assistance with this application. Please note, the processing time can take 1 month and there will be a fee associated with the application. The Melbourne School of Engineering will provide a letter of invitation to successful applicants to the internship program. This letter of invitation will include information outlining particulars of the internship or research project, including duration of the program or project, name and contact details of the supervisor at the University and any allowances or salaries provided by the University. This letter of invitation will assist with the application for visa.
