Students who are presently enrolled in a course at the University of
Melbourne can apply for an Internal Transfer. Internal Transfers
present an opportunity to transfer to another course within the
University and in most cases receive credit for studies successfully
completed.
Students applying for an Internal
Transfer need to do
so through SIS.
Faculty of Engineering: Internal Transfer Guidelines
- The University's Principles of Selection, procedures and
guidelines apply to all internal transfer applications.
- The internal transfer administrator is to liaise with the
faculties with which we share combined degrees at the commencement
of each selection round, to determine the mark required for
transfer into that particular combination of degrees.
- Heads of the Departments within the Engineering Faculty are
to be consulted regarding the mark required for transfer into
their particular stream or course.
- Transfer applications will be considered on the basis of
having met prerequisites for entry to the course/program and
on the marks achieved in the most recent semester and year.
Special consideration will also be taken into account, if applicable,
when assessing the application.
- The faculty reserves the right to permit students to transfer
from one Engineering degree to another, even if there are fails
in the preceding semester, if it is deemed to be in the best
interest of the student.
