30 Year Class of 1981 Reunion — 17 June 2011

On a cold winter’s night engineering graduates from 1981 became the first year group to celebrate a 30 year reunion as part of the Melbourne School of Engineering’s milestone reunion program. Following tours of the Engineering Precinct including the Student Centre and Gait Laboratory, it didn’t take long for the atmosphere to warm up at University House where old friends caught up on recent news and times gone by. A number of alumni relived their student days by punctuating some of the speeches with paper planes!

A great night was had by all which was clearly demonstrated by the fact that most of those who attended stayed well past the closing time for University House. The event was such a success that it is most likely that a 30 year reunion will become an annual event on the Melbourne School of Engineering's alumni activities calendar.
