Engineering vs Law Debate — 24 October 2011
On Thursday 1st September 2011 students from each faculty debated the topic “Lawyers or Engineers: who creates the future?”
It was the third in the series of recent debates and Engineering won the tiebreaker, which was held in A1 Theatre in the Old Engineering Building
Alumni adjudicators oversaw this raucous and sometimes risqué evening of competition before joining the audience and hosts (Professor Andrew Kenyon, Deputy Dean of Law and A/Prof David Shallcross, Head of Chemical Engineering and 150th Academic Champion) in the Student Lounge for drinks and canapés.
