Melbourne Engineering currently enjoys strong business and industry links and partnerships which support the work of the School, its research program and students pursuing a career in engineering.
These links with industry and business, and their interest in the development of professional excellence in engineering, happen in a range of ways – through sponsorship, internships, bursaries and special awards, scholarship programs and a variety of other forms of support.
We work closely with industry on mentoring programs, lecture series and industry based research projects. For example, investigating the sustainability of water use with Australian Minerals Industry Research Association (AMIRA), looking at the capture of carbon dioxide for greenhouse gas mitigation throught the Cooperative Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Technologies, new pharmaceutical products with Aceutica, and working on broadband internet access for rural and remote communities with NEC.
Industry partnerships help Melbourne Engineering foster engineering talent directly, nurturing research innovations and the solutions of the future by encouraging engineering students to dream large – and apply their skills to realise their dreams.
For many of Melbourne Engineering's current and prospective partners, it's the chance for their organisation to benefit, both directly and indirectly, from the innovations.
If you or your organisation is interested in exploring ways to partner with Melbourne Engineering, contact Ms Jan Richardson-Brown, Industry Liason Manager. |
