Engineering subjects in First Year
The following subjects are offered by the School of Engineering for study within Melbourne Model Degrees. They are required study for future engineers, depending on the area of specialisation.
- Engineering Systems Design 1&2, required for all Bachelor of Engineering students as well as those intending to become an Engineer through the Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Biomedicine
- Mapping Environments, required for those intending to become an Engineer through the Bachelor of Environments
- Constructing Environments,required for those intending to become an Engineer through the Bachelor of Environments
- Informatics 1 & 2, required for those intending to become Engineer through the Bachelor of Science (with majors in Computer Science, Science Informatics, or Software Systems)
or for a Concurrent Diploma in Informatics (available in all degrees except Biomedicine)
or for Bachelor of Commerce with Information Systems breadth
