Entry Requirements
The entry requirements for all specialisations of the professional Master of Engineering are an undergraduate degree in any discipline with at least a 65% average* in final two years, plus successful completion of relevant science and mathematics subjects as listed below.
Credit for prior studies
Students whose first degree is in engineering, or who have some prior studies in engineering will receive credit where subjects match those in the professional Master of Engineering.
New Generation Graduates
100 points (or one year) of credit will be
granted to those who meet the above entry
criteria and have successfully completed an
engineering systems major or sequence in
a New Generation degree at the University
of Melbourne.
Bachelor of Engineering Graduates
Students with a Bachelor of Engineering
who seek to specialise in the same field of
engineering in which they majored, are likely
to receive 100 points (one year) of credit,
possibly more. Exact credit can only be
determined on application.
