Overview
The professional Master of Engineering from the Melbourne School of Engineering is a first in Australia. It is the first suite of Master courses to be accredited by Engineers Australia and through its membership of the Washington Accord, is internationally recognised in twelve of the world’s leading economies, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, and Singapore, allowing graduates to practise professionally in any of those countries*.
Why take the professional Master of Engineering?
Engineers operate at the heart of our world – designing, managing and leading projects that have an impact on everything from how we work and live to the shape of the world we will hand over to future generations. But there are not enough graduates with the skills employers seek, with an estimated shortfall of more than 20,000 professional engineers in Australia alone. So if you aspire to a career that will make a difference to the world, then Melbourne’s pioneering professional Master of Engineering will give you the accreditation, industry exposure, professional practice skills and depth of technical expertise you need.
*Provisionally accredited by Engineers Australia effective May 2009. Full accreditation is only possible after the first students graduate from the program.
